The Mini-Com system has the following features:

FACEPLATES: These are available in Classic, Executive and Snap-In Furniture versions, stainless steel, screw-on and snap-on versions. A variety of Executive and Classic Series faceplate frames and inserts are also available for maximum flexibility to make changes and plan for expansion.
ICONS: These have computer and phone symbols molded directly into the material, and they can be pressed into the front of Mini-Com� modules and selected faceplates for identification of high performance copper and fiber installations. They come in multiple colors for color-coded identification of ports.
SURFACE MOUNT BOXES: These have two, four, six, or twelve module spaces. They are supplied with a base and snap-on cover, and they mount easily with screws, adhesive tape, or a magnet. They can be mounted on walls or furniture, and they are also perfect for baseboard applications.
FIBER SPOOLS: These provide storage for excess and slack fiber in flush, sloped and sloped recessed outlet applications. They meet the TIA / EIA 568-A standard that requires a minimum one meter slack and a fiber spool for in-wall installations.They are available in six colors, and the spool snaps into a variety of MINI-COM� Faceplates and Faceplate Frames for optimum flexibility and modularity in multimedia environments.
PATCH PANELS: These are used in the telecommunications closet. They make color coding easy and offer the capacity to add ports as needed, mix and match media, and switch or replace modules. They mount to standard EIA 19-inch racks, and extender brackets are available for use with 23 inch racks.
ZONE CABLING: These are designed to separate the barriers of plenum/non-plenum environments and the workspace. Office areas are separated into zones, each with a zone cabling box as the main point of distribution. Work area outlets are fed from the box for short cable runs for voice, data, and video connections.
MULTI-MEDIA FIBER OUTLETS: These have a built-in fiber spool that maintains the minimum bend radius for fiber optic and Category 5e cabling. They are available in five colors to complement any decor, and they feature a snap-on cover that is fastened with a tamper-resistant screw for added security.
